RAY'S Fit/Feel assessment: The GR9 WIDE is fairly similar to the overall structure and fit of the GR8 WIDE. Although ASICS touts this shoe's fit to be a
D, it's not quite there. Forefoot comfort in the GR9 is an improvement over the GR8 due to a better design for the PGuard anti-abrasion coating. Also, the forefoot cushioning seems more resilient and plush. If you loved the the GR8, you are going to really love the GR9.
